So lately we have been getting a huge influx of "adoptables" and while that was perfectly fine to me as long as the submissions fell within our guidelines, lately I have noticed that there have been a lot of batches and adopts sheets, featuring a large quantity of adoptables. This could potentially be against our "no art dump" rule, but I actually wanted to hear about everyone's opinions about adoptables in this group.
You see, this is not an adoptable group, although we wish to provide you with as much kemonomimi-themed artwork as we can. The focus has always been toward fully-realized illustrations and photography, which is why we don't allow WIPs, sketches, lineart, etc. We want to have a collection of complete and quality art (though we don't abide by a skill level here, as long as your work meets our specific guidelines, it will most likely be accepted).
But anyway, I'm fine with allowing kemonomimi adoptables because some of them are quite nice, but I think they fit into the group nicer when there are just a few together, or ideally just one well-drawn adoptable by itself.
Are you guys on the same page as me? Would you like to see less adoptables coming in, or do you not mind seeing them?
My main thought is limiting adopt sheets to a certain number, or possibly denying the grid-based sheets where there are just like 12 of the same character with slightly different colors or whatever. Those just remind me of art/sketch dumps and they aren't really the sort of thing we want to showcase here.
So, what are your thoughts everyone?
Ps. We could use two more contributors, if you want to be one please PM me!
